CALIFORNIA 40 DAYS OF PRAYER & FASTING
 
"REPENT for the Shedding of Innocent Blood"
Scripture makes it clear that the shedding of innocent blood defiles the land and brings judgment. (Deut. 21:1-9) 
In 1995 there were 280,180 legal abortions compared to 539,789 live births.
In 2000 the number of abortions climbed to 857,475. This is more than half of the children in California being killed.  Our state has the highest rate of abortions of any state in America! This does not include the world's largest stem cell research using the stem cells of aborted children in the name of "health" research.
The shedding of innocent blood has common ground with the homosexual marriage movement and decline in family values. They are the result of breaking covenant.
Recently Justice House of Prayer leaders along with other leaders visited the 129 Abortion Clinics in the state to repent and partake of Communion, asking God to reverse the covenant breaking and restore a culture of life.
At the beginning of the 1800's there were about 250,000 Native Americans living in California. By 1900 only about 20,000 were left after 139 Treaties made with 18 different tribes were broken! The result of pursuing extinction of this people group has resulted in those Native Americans being the most resistant to the gospel with only about 3% being open to hear about our Savior.
The land in California continues to be defiled by the shedding of innocent blood. There is a need to continue to address these issues through prayer, repentance, prophetic acts and reconciliation with those who have been victimized by these horrific, murderous sins.  See verse 9, purging ourselves from the guilt of these atrocious, evil deeds.  Pray and declare that Roe vs. Wade will be overturned, in Jesus' Name!
God's Answer is 2 Chron 7: 14, 15
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face (come corporately before Him) and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place."

 "Seeking God's Holiness"
 
We are now in the Jewish Calendar in the midst of Rosh HaShanah. These were called the 10 days of awe leading up to the Biblical Day of Atonement which is to be on Oct 9th. These ten days were committed to repentance that sins were put away before the Day of Atonement.
It was thought a special window was open in heaven to change a person's destiny or that of the nation. If sins were put away before the Day of Atonement which was considered a day of judgment, then the destiny for the coming year would be changed.
  

The Dung gate facing the Pool of Shiloach has been used in connection with Rosh HaShanah. Jesus sent the blind man to this pool to wash his eyes in John 9:7. Through this act of washing, the man's affliction was removed. The waters of this pool were used by the High Priest to immerse himself in Temple times for purification.

During Rosh HaShanah (The Ten Days of repentance leading to Yom Kippur) Jews gather around this water source to recite Tashich which has to do with casting away sins. In the ceremony some follow the practice of shaking out one's pockets and the folds in their clothing three times to symbolize the heart's intention to cast away sin and be completely cleansed. (Neh. 5:13). Sometimes bread is cast upon the waters representing their sins so they can see them taken away. This is done on the first day of Rosh HaShanah.

Application:
In our  lives and in California, let us turn from, and cast away, sin. Let us ask God to search our hearts so we may repent of our sins and ask forgiveness of what we see in our state as we corporately return to God. Ask Him to apply eye salve so that we might see our true condition and need of Him. Let us turn our pockets inside out before Him as He searches our lives.
 
Christ's lint detector is best seen in His Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapter 5. Mainly it has to do with how we treat people. Jesus gave a more in-depth way of looking at sin. It's time to turn our pockets inside out with Christ and His teachings!

On behalf of the Carolinas, I thank you for this invitation and declare that we are joining with you and California in praying for the protection of marriage, restoration of family, righteousness, worship; Proposition 8 :  the Protect Marriage Initiative; for transformation of California; and for Israel. 
 
We believe and decree that as we connect and covenant with you in prayer for your region, that the Carolinas will also experience a spiritual awakening, revival and transformation. 
 
I will pass this on to the Carolina Strategic Prayer Alliance to encourage the intercessors in Carolina to join with me in lifting up a canopy of prayer from "C" to shining "C", and to sign up on the "Prayer Wall".

The King of Glory is here Print E-mail
"I sense a great pressing in of the Lord upon His people, He's leaning upon His sons and daughters who worship Him in spirit and in truth and who seek him night and day from the place of intimacy and friendship.  I sense God's pleasure like an ocean breeze blanketing our state and breathing HIs truth and grace upon us.  It is a time of great refreshing for us, but we must keep our faces near His face and our hearts near His heart.  Truly, I sense His great tenderness toward us, and, at the same time, I sense His firm hand guiding us into extreme obedience.  It is a time of consecration to our King.  This is a season of holy consecration. We must consecrate ourselves to the King.  He loves us so deeply, so profoundly. We need to breathe in consecration, holiness, grace, mercy and truth.  He's coming like a rushing river, He's coming, He's here, He's here.  He's raining down His righteousness from heaven and rising up His truth from the land. (Ps. 85, Isa. 45)  The heaven's are dripping down His righteousness.  It's here, He's here.  The King of Glory is here.  He is flooding the gates of our cities with His presence.  He's here."
